Latest Updates from Our Project:

Proof in hand!
about 2 months ago – Fri, Mar 29, 2024 at 07:19:05 AM

Remember when I promised to let you know when the print proof came in and I looked it over to see if it was cool.

It's VERY cool. Check out this awesome cover, and the cool interior imagery as well!

Backerkit surveys have just gone out (like minutes ago) so make sure we have your confirmed email address, and you also have the opportunity to add on the ebook of Lawless Lands, another anthology co-edited by Misty Massey, who brought this awesome book to life, as well as additional paperback or hardcover copies of Nevermore. So if you forgot to grab an extra copy for that Poe lover in your life, you didn't miss out, get it now!

This is a REAL Backerkit update, for Nevermore this time! :)

Hey there! Since working iwth Backerkit on another project was relatively simple and seems able to help me manage shipping and preorders and stuff a little better than my old method (which involved scribbling notes on a pad of legal paper and then fighting with a cat about who got to keep the pen), I've added this project to Backerkit as well.

You should be getting a survey within the next few days, but it's just to confirm your shipping address and give people one last chance to add on additional paperbacks or hardcovers. Please shoot the survey back to me as soon as humanly possible, and we will get things rolling on our end.

I've gotten word that the printed proof of the paperback will be on my doorstep today, so once I have that you'll see it all over social media and in an update here.

Thanks!

At the end of the tunnel, and this time it's not a train! That's right, gang, the interior layout is finished, the paperback and hardcover wrap templates should be in my hands this weekend, and then Monday I can start uploading completed files to the printers!

What does that mean for you? It means that you're very close to having this awesome anthology in your hands! It also means that we should be sending out digital copies of Nevermore on April 2, 2024

That's right, you're less than two weeks from getting your download links for your digital copy of Nevermore, and we'll be getting print books shipped out in April! If you would like to pick up your copy of the anthology at RavenCon or Atomacon, please email me - [email protected]. I will set your book aside and get it to you at the con. I am not sure yet if we will have them in hand for JordanCon, but if we do, I'll send out another update for folx who might like to pick them up in Atlanta.

Thank you all for your patience, I really hope you love the stories in book as much as we all do.

John

4 months ago – Wed, Jan 31, 2024 at 09:08:45 AM

We've got a cover! Check out this amazing art by the inimitable Lynne Hansen! We're getting close, fam, and we are on track to meet our Q1 2024 release schedule! Books should start shipping in March to be in your hands by the end of that month, so keep an eye out for more updates as we get closer to making this project a reality!

And since the cover looks so badass, I'm making stickers of it that will go in with every physical backer reward! So if you got a paperback or hardcover with your pledge, you'll have a cool sticker of the cover art in your package, too!

Also, there are a few hours left in our new campaign, New Year, New Books, that we're doing with our friends Patrick Dugan and Darin Kennedy. So if you would like to check out the awesomeness we're doing there and will be launching this summer, head over to https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/falstaffbooks/new-year-new-books and check that one out!
